Purpose

All information published is intended to have informational, academic, educational and/or research value. It is the goal of ICB to promote academic electronic publishing. Institute of Catholic Bioethics is a for-profit organisation.

Although every effort is made by Institute of Catholic Bioethics, and the editorial board of this on-line journal to see that no inaccurate or misleading data, opinions or statements appear in this issue, we wish to make clear that the data and opinions appearing in the articles and advertisements herein are the responsibility of the contributor or advertiser concerned.

Liability

Accordingly, Institute of Catholic Bioethics, and the editorial board of this on-line journal accept no liability whatsoever for the consequences of any such inaccurate or misleading data, opinions or statements. Whilst every effort is made to ensure that drug dosing is presented accurately, readers are advised that methods and techniques involving drug usage, and described in this on-line journal, should only be followed in conjunction with the drug manufacturer's own published literature and the readers personal experience with the medication(s). Authority

The Editor-in-chief of each electronic journals was selected according to her/his knowledge in his/her specific medical fields. She/he is responsible for establishing a credible, international and functioning editorial board. All members of the editorial boards are displayed in the according link from the electronic journals. Their e-mail addresses are displayed (if available). All authors of any published material are clearly displayed/acknowledged by name and affiliation and (if available) are linked to their e-mail address.

Currency

All efforts are made by ICB to maintain currency of the published information. All published articles, reviews, case reports, multimedia slide shows, streaming videos, letter to the editors, editorials have the following citation/currency information attached:

All efforts are made by ICB to maintain archives with all the prior published information. The web site was set up 1996 with the goal to maintain archives and to maintain the unchanged URL's of the published information in order to ensure future accessibility to all published articles, reviews, case reports, multimedia slide shows, streaming videos, letter to the editors, editorials.

Only a few links to external web sites are provided throughout the web site. However, whenever available, ICBwill take advantage of the possibilities of the Internet and display links to referenced articles or sources as mentioned in articles, reviews, case reports, multimedia slide shows, streaming videos, letter to the editors, editorials. This will give the user/reader the possibility to immediately access refereed sources on the ICB is not responsible for any content displayed on other web sites.
